Really excited to share my first orcas off of Bainbridge Island video. Sorry about the potato quality of the video but seeing the small pod of orcas swimming off of Rockaway Beach was amazing! Not sure if they were feeding or playing as they headed north up the Sound. Members of the pod did turn back a couple times. Definitely the best part was seeing a juvenile orca in the pod and keeping up.

The orcas seemed to time today’s swim to be between Seattle / Bainbridge Island ferry runs. Otherwise, the ferries would’ve stopped and possibly delayed commuters heading to Seattle.

Orcas: amazing and considerate.
