Bainbridge Garden / New Rose Cafe

Bainbridge Gardens Truck PictureRich in history and beauty, Bainbridge Gardens is a must stop for visitors to Bainbridge Island. Bainbridge Gardens was originally founded in 1910 by the Harui family. During WWII, the Haruis and all families of Japanese descent were interred and the gardens fell into ruin. What you’ll currently see at Bainbridge Gardens is what was rebuilt since 1989. Stop in today and the helpful staff will answer your tough questions on when, how and what to plant. Be sure to leave a night in October open for Bainbridge Garden’s annual Pumpkin Walk too.

If you’re planning a trip to Bainbridge Gardens soon, do it when you’re hungry and stop by the New Rose Cafe. It’s a gem within a gem! One tip: order your food first and then walk around Bainbridge Gardens. New Rose Cafe makes everything to order and good food takes a little longer.
